For my birthday I got two of these newly formulated Marc Jacobs Beauty Eye-Conic Palettes. I got Glambition and Scandalust. Because of the pop of red in Scandalust, I was sure that would be my favorite of the two palettes, but from the moment I opened up Glambition, I knew this was the one I would love most.

I am familiar with the Marc Jacobs eyeshadow formula, I own the Marc Jacobs About Last Night Holiday Palette and it's pretty wonderful. I didn't really think the shadow formula needed reformulating, it was already really good. And that's exactly why I could not wait to get my hands on some of these new palettes, especially after seeing the sneak peeks on Instagram and the beautiful shades in all of the palettes. Honestly, Marc Jacobs Beauty did such a beautiful job putting these palettes together, it was so hard to even pick where to begin.

With the relaunch of the Marc Jacobs Beauty Eye-Conic Multi-Finish Eyeshadow Palettes, they also lowered their price to $49 from a hefty $59. While $49 is still of course, expensive, it's more accessible, and more on par with what you're getting in these palettes.

If there is one fault with Glambition, it has to be that the matte shadows are so incredibly soft, that some border on delicate. While swatching both palettes I found a few pans that immediately crumbled apart when I put my finger in there lightly. I only ran into this with the matte formula and not every matte shade, just one here and there.

I would suggest just being very gentle when you dip your brush into any of these pans because they are really soft. Still, I found the matte shades to be absolutely beautiful in this palette, they are very pigmented very soft and creamy. The two shimmery shades are absolutely incredible, and while you will have a little bit of fall-out on application, their finishes are just stunning! I'm usually not the biggest fan of either gold or pink eyeshadow's, but I can tell you that the two in Glambition are just stunning.

The black shade is a matte with glitter and not my favorite, this is the one shade that swatched a little patchy and felt a tiny bit drier. I'm never a fan of this type of shadow (matte w/shimmer),  but it is nice that there is a black eyeshadow in Glambition because it makes it an all inclusive palette. On the eyes it's definitely better than in the swatches.

My overall thoughts on the Marc Jacobs Beauty Eye-Conic Multi-Finish Eyeshadow Palette in Glambition are that it is definitely worth the splurge, because it is a splurge at $49. Like I said above, it is an all inclusive pallet which means that you can travel with it or take it on the go and have all the shades you need for many different looks.

The packaging is ultra-lux and the eyeshadows are just super beautiful, not just the arrangement of shades but the formula. If you've been looking to add a really nice piece to your makeup collection, or looking for a neutral palette, I definitely think this is worth looking at. Will I be purchasing more of these eyeshadow palettes? Yes! There are at least two more that I would love to own but considering the price I would probably wait until the Sephora VIB sale.
