February 2017 Beauty Favorites

It's time for monthly beauty faves and this month I am super stoked because most of my favorites are items that have been in my collection for some time. Yes, we all love to try new products, but with our huge collections, there's nothing better than digging into them and finding some long lost faves.
L'Oreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder Foundation : I admit that this is not a foundation that I wear very often, but whenever I do I am absolutely wowed by it. While it's a very liquidy formula, this foundation gives me a medium coverage that is just so natural in a "non-natural" way. By that I mean that with two layers it covers all of my imperfections yet is so light and airy, I love this foundation.

LancĂ´me Teint Idole Ultra : This is my holy grail foundation of life. I've talked about this full coverage foundation so many times you probably don't need to hear more about it. But this month I comebined this foundation with the product below and the combo was just absolute perfection. I'm getting very low on this bottle which means I have to order a new one. I admit it's a little painful on my walltet because Teint Idole is on the pricey side, but this is a foundation that will always be a part of my collection.

Pixi Beauty Glowtion Day Dew Brightening Lotion : this was sent to me a few months ago by Pixi Beauty and after first trying to use it as a moisturizer, and failing because I have very dry skin, I've now come to love using this product as a primer. This lotion has a pearlized finish that is stunning on it's own, and when I apply it under this foundation I get the most glorious skin with a touch of glow. It makes my skin look radiant and healthy and I am living for this combo.
I found this Real Techniques Core Collection kit at TJ Max for only $7.99 after seeing a bunch of posts on IG. These were the kits which were cleared out of Target & since my Target doesn't carry Real Techniques, I never got a chance at them. I was stoked to be able to get one for myself & another for one of my girls. These four brushes have turned into essentials as part of my makeup routine. I love them all & still can't believe I paid so little for this kit. The regular price at Target is only $12.99 which is a great deal for 4 awesome brushes!
Unfortunately this palette doesn't seem to be on sale anymore but it was my favorite during the month of February and I wanted to share it.  This is the Tarte Double Duty Beauty Eye & Cheek Palette in Classic Courage. I've had this for a few months yet never wore it but in February I reached for it over and over again. I bought this palette for the shade Lucky Penny and it's as wonderful as I thought it would be! Plus the Trailblazer (a favorite brown now) and Smile On shades are pigmented and beautiful to work with. Oh, and the palette smells like vanilla!
The addition of a blush in this palette makes it one of those all inclusive palettes that are great to travel with. I have a few other Tarte palettes that I ADORE so I am not surprised this one is just as nice. While it's no longer on the Ulta site, I suggest keeping your eye out for it in case it ever pops up somewhere else.

The NARS Dual-Intensity Cheek Palette is amazing. This is the first time I have tried the dual-intensity formula and I must say I love it. The creamy formula plays really well with my drier skin and the longevity of the blushes, the four shades and overall presentation is a winner. This palette is one of my better makeup purchases. Unfortunately, it is no longer available but I would definitely recommend this formula and might look into a few NARS Dual-Intensity Blush duos in the future.
These three pencils made an impact during the month of February and my makeup routine. Two I've been using as a base and shadow and the other has to be the creamiest liner I have ever used.

Nudestix Magnetic Eye Color in Gilt: I received this pencil from Ipsy a long time ago and never realized how beautiful it is. I've been using this as a shadow, primer and as an inner corner highlight. It's a beautiful shade that is super versatile.

PIXI Beauty Endless Silky Eye Pen in the shade Graphic Greige: This has to be the creamiest liner I have ever used and I really like this shade. It's not easy for me to use any other pencil shade than black but Graphic Greige is dark enough to make me feel comfortable and it's a really cool shade. Plus this formula stays on forever and is just so creamy. I need more of these liners in my life. (this liner was given to me by the brand)

Essence Stays No Matter What Eye Pencil & Shadow in the shade Cute Copper: I purchased 6 of these pencils about two years ago and had never used any of them. What a waste, these pencils are a great long-stay formula, they are super pigmented and make great bases or stand alone shadows. I especially love this one for smudging under the waterline. These are no longer in stock on the Ulta site but I am pretty sure they still sell them in store and they're only like $2.99.
I feel like liners and shadow pencils are unsung heroes in the makeup game. But if you use an eyeliner like I do, during every single makeup application, then you know they really are important. I really have been enjoying getting to know how versatile other pencils are and what a difference they make in my makeup routine.
I must have lost the photo I took of my favorite lippies for the month of February but I did share them on my Snapchat. I have loved the Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wearing Lipsticks for a while now and in February I took out my first one, Melted Ruby, and used it a ton. This is one of my favorite reds of all time and though the formula of this lippie has changed because it's older, I still love the color. This is one I plan to repurchase for sure.

I also pulled out my second favorite Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wearing Lipstick in Melted Fig. I love this shade so much! It's a purple pink shade that is just stunning and one of the best shades in this line for sure.

An oldie but a goodie from my collection is this L'Oreal LaLaque lipstick in Never Laque-ing. This lipstick is about 3 years old and a precious part of my collection because it's from the original LaLaque and LaMatte launch. These are some of my favorite lippies in my collection and this shade in particular is quite beautiful.

Not a lot of new and exciting stuff in February's favorites, but awesome for me because I used a bunch of stuff already in my collection, a few things I had never even used before. I loved really delving into my stash and digging out some really good products that have been going unnoticed.

What were some of your February Beauty favorites?
