Bite Beauty Best Bite Redux Review & Swatches

On to another super affordable. yet really good holiday set! This is the Bite Beauty Best Bite Redux which features five of the Bite Beauty Matte Creme Lip Crayons, which are my favorite of the Bite Beauty lip products. I loved last years holiday set which I reviewed HERE and it really was one of my favorites from the entire 2015 holiday season. This year Bite Beauty didn't let us down and released TWO sets, this one and the Bite Beauty The Perfect Bite Set which I have already reviewed HERE

Two Bite Beauty holiday sets are definitely better than one and I am so glad that I have picked up both. Now, let's take a closer look at the Bite Beauty Best Bite Redux set which is available at Sephora for only $25.

The Bite Beauty Best Bite Redux kit is such a great holiday gift idea because it is packaged so beautifully.

As usual this kit comes in the same super-cute and festive red tin which I always say is so convenient. I loved mine from last year for carrying my lippies safely and with its big mirror it makes it easy to apply your lip product on-the-go.

This set contains:
- 4 x 0.03 oz/ 0.91 mL Deluxe Matte Crème Lip Crayon in Truffle, Red Velvet, Orchid, Fraise

From left to right the shades are: Fraise, Orchid, Red Velvet and Truffle

Fraise: a beautiful strawberry red

Orchid: a lavender pink shade that is super pigmented and gorgeous. This is probably the "scariest" of the shades if you're not super comfortable with purple lippies but I think this shade is more wearable than a lot of other lavenders.

Red Velvet: is more of a deeper red and my favorite of the entire set.

Truffle: is a deep berry that is just perfect for fall and winter.

Overall I do like the shade selection in the Bite Beauty Best Bite Redux set. If I were able to change anything about this set it would be to add a nude brown shade. I really do think a good nude is essential in any lip set and a nice brown one would have been perfect for fall and winter and really would have rounded this collection nicely.

Holy pigmentation right? Yes, these lippies are one swipe for full pigmentation and the formula is creamy and soft. This is not a fully matte finish lippie like a liquid lipstick at all, it goes on creamy and will transfer though the finish is matte. As someone who doesn't love liquid lipsticks because they can be drying on the lips, this is the type of formula that I prefer. Wear time is really good depending on what you eat and drink and it's a very comfortable formula overall.

The Bite Beauty Best Bite Redux is a bit hit in my book and I do plan to pick a few extras for holiday gift giving. At only $25 (and only $20 during the coming VIB Sephora sale) I definitely suggest getting one of these for yourself, and maybe a few for gifting.
