My June 2016 Favorites

One of my favorites to watch on YouTube or read on a blog are monthly favorites and since last month I didn't get an opportunity to do one, I didn't want to miss out on June. So this post is very late but I definitely wanted to share with you my favorites from the month of June. There is a lot of stuff to go through so let's get into it.

The Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette was a favorite for many this month, including myself. I was so excited from the very first moment that I saw this pallet on social media and I am happy to report that it did not disappoint. I own four ABH palettes and I can tell you without a doubt this is my favorite. Do I think you need it? If you like these shades then absolutely yes.

The Viseart Theory Palette in Minx was the other standout palette for me in June.  I'm not an expert when it comes to eyeshadow application nor am I really good at getting a nice eye look, but this palette really does make getting a pretty look so easy. Plus it is incredibly pigmented and I am thrilled to death that it has no fallout which means less cleanup for me just makes it all so much easier. I own two of these palettes and will definitely be purchasing the third.

The L'Oreal Lumi Cushion is one of the most amazing foundations I have ever used. It is pricey at over $15 for the drugstore and honestly I have heard that they don't last that long. But it gives you the skin of the gods. And I am not kidding about that, the skin of the gods I tell you!

Another foundation that has climbed the ranks from probably number three in my favorites list to number one is the Lancôme Nude Miracle. This is a liquid-to-powder foundation that delivers a medium coverage and leaves your skin looking soflty matte and flawless. It is not heavy at all and it always surprises me how it can stay on my face for 12 hours even on the hottest day. My other favorite foundation is the Lancôme Teint Idole which is a very beautiful, full coverage foundation but during these hotter months this one just works better for me. If you like a lighter to medium foundation, I definitely suggest this one.

The L'Oreal Infallible Pro Contour Palette is one that I never expected to like as much as I do. I am a fan of the Infallible line so when it launched I was excited, but then I saw the price at $11.99. That to me is a whole lot of money for the very small amount of product that you actually get. However, when I saw this at a blog sale for only $4 I knew that I would finally get to try it out and surprisingly enough I really like it. I find myself reaching for this all the time because the contour shade is the exact shade that I love and I also really like the highlight because it gives your skin a really beautiful sheen without any shimmer whatsoever. My skin and shimmery highlights just do not mix well at all. If you like a good contour I would suggest this pallet but I would also suggest to wait for a sale and even try to top it with a coupon, because it is not worth $11.99.

The Nars blush in Goulue was another one that was in constant repeat this month. The shade of blush is a beautiful berry shade that just gives my skin is very lively look and goes well with so many of my lipsticks, especially the ones that I wore in June. I got this during my Sephora VIB Rouge renewal and if I ever finish this one I would definitely buy the full size.

I got a deluxe size of the Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist from Sephora with a coupon code and I love it. First of all this sample is .05 fluid ounces which is a super generous size and it comes in the most beautiful glass bottle. The product itself is super refreshing and smells just like roses. I would imagine that if you're not a fan of rose scents you wouldn't be buying this in the first place, but do note that it is strongly scented of roses but in the most beautiful way. Plus I find it to be really refreshing and when I'm just having an off day I'll spray it all over my face. I have been using it to refresh my make up and skin during the day but this week I'm going to start using it before my makeup to see how it hydrates my skin and will update you guys in a few weeks. As of now I would definitely repurchase the large size.

In May there was a BOGO free Mac lipstick event and I took that opportunity to get myself three new Mac lippies. I still haven't used one of the shades but the other two have been on nonstop rotation since I purchased them. The two shades are Taupe and Mehr and they are both super perfect for every day and they go with just about any eye look. I don't have a picture of swatches on here but if you go on my Instagram I do have a very recent one up towards the top.

The Lancôme Juicy Tubes have been another go-to for me this past month, especially on the many days that I don't wear make up and I'm just hanging around at home. Lancôme Juicy Tubes are a tint in oil and are very luxurious and comfortable on the lips. The little shaker design and application mode are cute and the little bottle is bigger in person than what I imagined, and it's super adorable. I think the price is relatively low at $21 for being a Lancôme product and I do think they're worth the money. My only con for these is that they have ZERO staying power, not even if you are sipping through a straw. You will definitely have to reapply these if you are doing any eating or drinking and every few hours if you're not doing anything. But believe me it's not a struggle to reapply these and I still love them. I own three shades and love them all.

So we are now in the month of July and I'm already working away at some old favorites and some newer purchases so I hope to be back at the beginning of next month with more faves. I'd love to know what you were loving in the month of June, please let me know in the comments what your go-to's where!
