Sephora VIB Sale Spring 2021 Haul

This last Sephora VIB Sale was pretty exciting for me, it had actually been over a year since I even really took part in the sale. One the main reasons being that 2020 was for me the year that I fell from a VIB Rouge to Beauty Insider and the 10% wasn't worth the while. Last year I didn't even bother to pick up my birthday gift which shows just how not into it I was.

But now a VIB and in better spirits with a renewed love of all things beauty, I enjoyed taking part of this sale and being pretty choosy with my selections. I purchased SIX products and spent a total of $194.98

Read below to find out which product went back and which is on the fence and to see an updated total.

Melt Cosmetics Mary Jane Palette: I still haven't even used this palette even though I've had it now for a few weeks. And even though the reviews for it are pretty dismal, I am so in love with the colorway of this cooler-toned palette, that it's a definite keeper for me.

If you're interested in this palette, I would highly suggest watching reviews for it and getting as many opinions of it as you can. For me, the shade selection and different textures included have stolen thy heart.

Westman Atelier Lit Up Highlight Stick: I picked up the shade Nectar in this beautiful product from Westman Atelier, thinking it one of the most majestic makeup items I had ever seen. And it is absolutely stunning, don't get me wrong, but it isn't giving me exactly what I had expected from it.

This product is less of a highlight and more of a kiss of gloss, which sounded great. But considering that my skin is dewy and pretty glossy already 75% of the time, I find that it doesn't really show up on me. In order for this product to shine at its best for me, I would have to use it on those occasions that I am not layering a lot of hydrating products underneath or using a more matte foundation, which these days is rare for me.

Still, I have not given up on it yet, I want to put it to use a few more times this week and see if I can make this show up on my skin more. It's a pricier product being from Westman Atelier, but even if it was only $5 it is not worth it to me if I can't get it to show up.

Sephora Collection Acrylic Organizers (2): Undoubtedly, one of the best purchases I have ever made from Sephora. These $23 acrylic organizers are a steal for how large the size and how much fits in them. During the sale I purchased two one-drawer organizers and have since then bought a 2-drawer for my smaller items, again, it's such a great price for the amount of storage space.

During the sale the Sephora brand was 30% off so I got them for an absolute steal.

NARS Laguna Cream Bronzer:
NARS Laguna Bronzer is my favorite bronzer and I could not pass up owning it in a cream formula. I own it in liquid and various powder versions and love this new iteration so much, the formula is super easy to blend out and the color is not overly warm at all. Plus the scent is wonderful, it smells like Hawaii, so the application provides that full sensorial experience that I love getting from my beauty products.

NARS Soft Matte Tinted Lip Balm: Bought this as a last minute add-on and was immediately not in love either with the shade or upon putting it on. The formula was strangely slippery, thinner than a lip balm but not very hydrating, to me it felt like a thin lipstick.

NARS usually hits it out of the park with their lip products for me but right now I think I am more into a super hydrating and comfortable lip.

So that is how everything stands as of right now. I will come back and update this post once I have made a definite decision about the Westman Atelier Lit Up Highlight Stick.

Total spent after NARS return:  $169.10

Total spent if I return the highlight: $124.73
