Worth the Hype? | Flower Beauty Shimmer & Strobe Highlighting Palette

The new product launches from Flower Beauty have been nothing but exciting. I am such a fan of Drew Berrymore, and that's why I tried Flower Beauty in the first place. But it was definitely time that they launched some new products. Well, let me tell you that they did an awesome job with the new stuff. Have you read my review of the Flower Beauty Flower Pots Blushes or the Flower Beauty Shimmer & Shade Palette? If not, do yourself a favor and go check them out, especially the post about the blushes, which are some of my new faves!
Today's post is for the one product from the new launches that I see is getting major hype. This beauty of a palette is the Flower Shimmer & Strobe Highighlting Palette. Isn't it beautiful?
The Flower Shimmer & Strobe Highighlting Palette is only $12.98 and an exclusive to Walmart. When I first spotted this palette, I admit that I passed on it. I don't wear highlight too often because of skin texture issues and I wasn't interested in trying a new one out. But after seeing a picture on IG from MakeupLunchAndDinner, where the powders looked like cream instead of powder, I knew I had to give it a shot. And in fact, these are a powder, but they are so silky and smooth that they almost fee like a gel.
Just like the eyeshadow palette, this comes with a pretty decent brush. It's really soft and can definitely be used with the product to achieve that perfect glow. I've seen some critiques, people saying they would rather not have a brush and instead have it cost less. But come on now - this palette is under $13, for three gorgeous highlighters and a brush. How much cheaper do we want it, and how much quality are we willing to give up? I think the price is super accessible and think the regular consumer won't have a million highlighting brushes and appreciate the one provided.
The three shades in the palette are really pretty, though not quite universal enough for darker skin tones, which is a shame. But if you have a light to medium tanned skin tone, then I think this will work nicely for you.
I personally don't like really gold toned highlighters but the one in this palette isn't overly yellow, which makes all three shades usable for me. My favorite though has to be the middle shade.
As you can see, the highlighters in the Flower Beauty Shimmer & Strobe Highlighting Palette are beautiful!
You get so much intense color, even though it says that it's sheer it's actually pretty pigmented. A little bit of product goes a long way and you can totally sheer it out for a lighter glow or really build it for that intense glow that's so in style at the moment. Personally, I use a light hand and love the candle lit glow I get without accentuating my skin texture. This palette is really lovely.

Is the Flower Beauty Shimmer & Strobe Highlighting Palette worth the hype?

Oh, heck yes! Especially when you consider the price against those high-end highlighters that are popular. Honestly, I don't find this palette to be lacking anything that those high-end versions have, besides the price tag. The only thing that would make the Flower Beauty Shimmer & Strobe Highlighting Palette better would be to have another suited for darker skin tones. Other than that, I definitely recommend checking this palette out if you're a highlighter newbie or already an expert.
