MOTD Weekly Wrap-Up w/ Mini Reviews

I love seeing Makeup of the Day shots on social media and have continued to try capturing as many of my own as I can. I really am finding that keeping track of what I use is helping me rotate makeup a lot better, because I can look back and see what I have used and what's being ignored. If you own a lot of makeup like I do, you know that the rotation is super important in ensuring we use as much of our makeup as possible. This is a great way to track it.

The L'Oreal Lumi Cushion has been a favorite since I purchased it, you've seen it a lot on this blog I'm sure and that's because it gives such a glorious finish. I also really love the Urban Decay Naked Palette, it's hard to believe I've only used it about three times since buying it earlier this year. I definitely need to use this one a lot more often.

Mac Studio Fix Fluid is another one of my foundations that is climbing up the ranks. It might have to do with the fact that it's summer and over 110 degrees here and this foundation can actually take it. Plus the finish is full coverage and just so beautiful that it never fails to give me a great makeup day. Something that is newer to my collection that I got from HSN is the Lancome Effacernes Waterproof Longlasting Undereye concealer and I am really loving it. It's got full coverage, doesn't crease and most importantly it doesn't dry my undereyes more than they already are.

The Lancome Grandiose Mascara is a favorite of mine and I was sad to find that my tube was already running low. Since then I have ordered myself two more tubes because I must have this mascara in my collection at all times. I was excited to wear my newest Too Faced Melted lipstick in the shade Chihuahua. I've wanted this shade FOREVER and finally scored it in a deal from HSN. Too Faced Melted Chihuahua is a peachy-brown shade that's basically a nude on me and goes well with just about any eye look. I'm so happy this shade has joined my collection.

My favorite product on this day had to be the Nars Laguna Tiare Bronzer. This is a limited edition, larger version of the cult classic bronzer from Nars. It's scented with Monoi and is supposed to be a few shades darker than the regular Laguna shade. It's also encased in a gorgeous faux black wood case and I LURV it! Let me tell you that it's not cheap but I doubt I will ever run out of it because it's HUGE!

Dior Nude Air foundation is one that I got for my birthday last year and I love it. It's the one that I pull out whenever I want to have a healthy, radiant glow and because it's more of a sheer foundation it does really well in the summer. This is a fluid-syrum foundation with a dropper and it's just so darn luxurious, it really perks me up to wear it. As I am sure you know, it's not cheap, but it's worth the price fo'sure. The lippie you see above is from the Mac LE Julia Petit collection in the shade Acai. This is one of my most treasured collections and I love, love this berry shade.

I hope that you've enjoyed this look into my makeup picks from a few weeks ago. Seriously, I feel like this is a series which really is helping me rotate my makeup and I think that if you have a collection as big as mine, taking a photo of your #MOTD is a good way to see what you need to use more often. And I hope that my little reviews help you decide on an item that you might be thinking of purchasing. If there is anything that you want full reviews of just let me know down in the comments.
