No7 Airbrush Away Foundation Review

One of my favorite things to try out is foundation and when I started seeing the No7 Airbrush Away Foundation, it completely intrigued me. This is the style of foundation that I prefer, a light coverage serum style foundation and I was excited to finally see a drugstore one at a more affordable price than many of the ones I own.

Target was having a $5 gift card with the purchase of $20 from the beauty department so I decided to go ahead and pick it up. According to the sponsored reviews I've seen, No7 has a shade matching machine at some of their locations so you can get the exact match for your skin tone. My store had no such thing. But I did end up picking one of the two beige shades which is usually in the range that works for me. I picked up the shade warm beige and it is completely the wrong color on me, this shade is a whitish gray that makes me look like a sickly vampire. Even with the wrong shade I still decided to put it on two days in a row so that I could review it for those of you that have also been seeing it on social media and wondering if it really is as good as they say this.

Here is my review after trying it out the No7 Airbrush Away Foundation on two different days and using two different forms of application.

The price for this foundation is $17.99 which is pretty up there for a drugstore foundation but No7 is a pricer brand like Sonia Kashuk. If you buy high-end foundations the way that I do then this foundation is very affordable in comparison and that's one of the reasons why I was really excited for it.

The presentation is beautiful, it comes in a very nice glass bottle with a very nice dropper, it actually reminds me a lot of my Kiko foundation. And that is where I run out of positive things to say about this foundation. Yes, presentation is lovely and the price is super fair, but how is the actual foundation?

As I said above, I picked up the Warm Beige shade of the No7 Airbrush Away Foundation and I was really disappointed when I first went to put it on to see how incredibly gray and strange the shade was, but I thought I could just go exchange it later for a better shade.  Unfortunately the formula also didn't work for me at all. Now I have quite a few foundations in this style so it's not that this is the wrong type of foundation for me, because I have five that I love and are great on my skin. It's this formula that doesn't work for me. First of all the coverage is very light, a much lighter version of any of my serum foundations. That in itself is pretty bad because one of the reasons why I love this style of foundation so much is because they are a light formula, but you get really good coverage. Not with this one, the coverage is sheer to light in my opinion and just not enough to make it worth putting on.

And then there is how bad it looked on my skin! My skin is 42 and it has it's bad spots, like my nose and my lines and wrinkles. But there are so many foundations that make it look really decent, many foundations that make it look nice, and even some that make it look pretty darn good. This foundation aged me, clung to my dry spots and made my nose look gross. I know quite a few tricks to make foundations sit better on my skin and absolutely nothing worked. As you will see in the picture above, it did me no favors at all. And never mind those eyebrows, I was using a pencil that was the wrong color and much too creamy. Wear time wasn't great either. Just five hours in it had disappeared from my nose my chin and forehead, and by disappear I mean that it was GONE.

You guys, it is very rare for me to have such a bad experience with makeup. And I really don't enjoy giving anything such a negative review. But there is nothing good to say about this foundation besides the fact that it's pretty to look at. Other than that I would say skip it...don't even turn to look at it. There are SO many great drugstore foundations under $15 and many under $10, so why bother with something so problematic? BTW, I did get comments from four different friends on social media telling me that they too found this foundation to be a very strange gray color and just not good at all. So it's not just me.

I hope that my review of the No7 Airbrush Away Foundation helps you decide whether to try it or not. I'd love to hear your thoughts on it if you have.
